Okay, time to get caught up! Puppies are 1 week old this evening! Here are some photos of them over the past week. We should have had a litter of 5 but unfortunately we lost 3 puppies due to one becoming detached too soon during whelping and a stuck puppy in the birth canal and the delay caused fluid in the lungs on the third one. Yes I lubricated, feathered and pulled but couldn't get the stuck one out in time. Yes, I cried. I have been very fortunate over the years but it still stinks loosing pups.

The good news is that we have 1 very strong, healthy and plump baby boy and ditto on a baby girl! I thought the girl was liver, but now looks like both are Black!
